RESIDENTIAL
Residential design requires patience, trust and good communication skills between the client and designer. We help our clients realize their vision while achieving a balance between nature and the built environment. The end result is a design that is comfortable, restful, and beautiful.

INSTITUTIONAL
Institutional planning and design endeavors to reflect a community's sense of place, character and values. Careful attention is paid to the hierarchy of public spaces, the use of plantings and hardscape materials. The design must be functional, appropriate in scale and support the community's future growth and development.

COMMUNITY
Community design can include planning for congregate housing such as senior and co-housing, developing intentional and eco-communities, or working with a community on visioning their future through a series of charrettes. It can also include designing for mixed use developments on existing or new sites and structures. And, it can also include recreational design for active and/or passive recreation such as parks, hiking, biking and ski trial design, and water related activities.

Often community design requires the collaborative efforts of a team of professionals working with the community's public and private sectors. This approach builds upon the sense of community and connection through good design.
